Module 1

Aspect

 Kemp Design Model

SAM (Successive Approximation Model)

ADDIE Model

Flexibility

Non-linear, allowing designers to address any phase at any time.

Highly flexible, focusing on rapid prototyping and iterative adjustments

Linear structure but can be adapted for flexibility.

Iterative Process

Encourages revisiting and refining throughout the design process.

Central to the model, with continuous cycles of prototyping and feedback.

Iteration mainly occurs during Evaluation and Refinement.

Learner-Centered Design

Centered Design Strong focuses on aligning content with learner needs and goals.

. User-focused, emphasizing rapid feedback and user involvement.

Learner’s addresses need but is more process driven.

1. Kemp Model: Ideal for complex projects requiring simultaneous attention to multiple elements. Enhances fluidity by integrating learner needs and objectives at any stage.

2. SAM Model: Speeds up the design process by using prototypes and iterative feedback. Best for dynamic projects needing quick delivery and adjustment.

3. ADDIE Model: Provides a clear, structured roadmap, making it easier for teams new to instructional design to follow. However, it may feel rigid compared to the other models.
